When most people Google in “internet marketing program”, they are looking for a program that will teach them how to sell their product online.

And, they are looking to be successful.

If they have no money at all, they are looking for free information.

Dear reader, I so feel for you. Let me pull back the curtain and tell you what you are in for…..every time you sign up for free info, you are getting stuck on some marketer’s email list, who will most likely send you nothing but plug after plug, plea after plea, to buy his lame, info-less product.

He has no desire what so ever to tell you the truth or to see you succeed. He only wants your moolah.

Once he gets it, he will send you some marketing information, but never enough to complete the whole marketing puzzle. You may sense some truth to what he is saying, then spend a whole wad of cash, only to discover that he didn’t tell you enough to become successful at all, only enough to make you realize that you still need more marketing info.

I think it’s time for information marketers to drop the nonsense and start telling their people the truth.

Here it is: you are going to need a whole lot more than several $50 tutorials to pull you through the process. What you need is a real education. A system that is really a system; comprehensive, with your entire future in view.

One of the ironies of marketing education is, the newer you are, the more important it is to get a premium education. Think about it: if someone was illiterate, it would take more time and training in the beginning to teach them how to read, then it would to teach them how to teach themselves how to read even better. That’s because, once they had the fundamentals of reading down, they could understand how to read the next budget priced module.

In the beginning, you may not know enough to decipher that “who else wants to make a million dollars NOw!”internet marketing program, that tells you one tactic that worked for them. And they don’t bother telling you all of the fundamentals they had in place before they implemented that single “secret” (hmmph!) strategy of theirs.
It’s time that marketers start telling the truth!

It’s not enough to learn:

• Afilliate marketing
• email marketing
• website design
• search engine optimization
• conversion techniques…in and of themselves

All of these elements need to work together. To really succeed at this, you need to learn the guts, the essence, the innards of each of these and then, more importantly, you need to be systematically shown how all of these things work together.

That’s called integrated marketing and it’s the only way to really be successful online.

The “Secret System” you are looking for.

Everyone of you is looking for a “secret system”. I don’t care who you are. We all are. If you are diligent or lazy, Christian or pagan, internet marketer or lottery player, everyone is.

There are two reasons for this: a. you aren’t on the right track OR

b. you ARE on the right track to internet marketing success, but you don’t know it yet.  Even if you are on the right track, it can take time. And it’s easy to doubt yourself and wonder if you will get there in time to even enjoy it.

The Patriarchs of old went through this. Joseph had a dream that he would rule over his brother, and yet God let him sit in prison.  Don’t you think that he sometimes wondered if he would ever reach his dream? We read that God was putting iron in his bones.

How do you know if you are doing the right thing?

Well, first of all, the right thing can change. What does work today might not work tomorrow.  We all know this.  But there are some things that are pretty certain.

If you have a product that no one else has, but that everyone wants,

if you promote it on a reasonably attractive platform

and if you promote it properly, then you have a better chance of success. So start with that.

Does your game plan keep disappearing from day to day, and getting replaced with the latest trick? Here are some common lies that are being promoted on the internet.

Evaluating the quality of your internet marketing education

When you are first starting your online business, you want to make sure that you are getting the right kind of information at a price you can afford. You want the education you are receiving to be the best it can be, and highly relevant to your particular business. And, you want results.

Hiring the complete services of a very good marketing agency would be the fastest way to get your business going. But definitely not the cheapest. A marketing agency will outsource all of the necessary work or do it with their own team. They will outline a plan for your business, and just do it all for you. Most new business owners can not afford this option at first.

If you are looking to learn how to market items yourself, you can hire a recommended “guru” to coach you and show you step-by-step how it’s done. Mentoring is hands down the best way to learn internet marketing and in the end, is almost as expensive as a marketing agency, but with the benefit of an education.

Consulting is always a good option if you just want someone to tell you what they think. Consulting may be done by the hour or a complete day, and if it’s really consulting it should just be you, not a group of people, getting advice from the expert. Note: many consultants refer you to other people for the services you need. And they get a commission for doing so. Beware of the quality of such referrals and ask the consultant if they are getting a kick back

Next best thing is a personal road map of your business. Not all coaches will do this and the reason is they either don’t know how, or they don’t think it’s as thorough.  A road map of your business is a written blue print or flow chart which tells you in written form what you should be doing, in what order.

If you can’t afford any of these specialized services, then you need to self-educate through free online tutorials or paid modules. The problem is, no matter how detailed the information is, it still isn’t going to tell you when to use it, or in what order.

The approach I take for my internet marketing program, is to provide a step by step system that takes you through each process needed to get your business online, looking good, getting traffic and making sales.

When you self-educate off of the internet, you may find it hard to know which style to use in marketing, and how to integrate all of these tutorials together.

But when you have real help from an expert, they can lift you above the clouds and show you the whole picture from a seasoned angle.
