Keeping the vision before you

image002If you’ve been following my blog for any length of time, then you know that I am big on “writing the vision and making it plain”.

One thing that can really help you do this is a time-line of your business.
Your business should be growing everyday, and you should be able to see some growth in your business.

Some people spend years and years promoting something that isn’t working for them.

This may not mean that they are in the wrong business, but it does mean that they need to withdraw and analyze.

When you are in an online business, it is so important to keep the vision before you. Ask yourself, where did I hope to be at this point in my business when I first began?

Then, withdraw and analyze.

If you find that you are not where you should be by now, then ask yourself some questions:

“Was I unrealistic in the amount of time I thought it would take me to succeed?
And what is success”?

“What accomplishment at this point in the game would cause me to think I am successful”? Remember, goals must be actionable and measurable.

If you take inventory and are disappointed with where you are, then ask yourself… “What goal must I reach this year in order to be successful”?
Once you determine what that goal is, break it down into each season, and then each month.

Now, write the vision and make it plain. Determine exactly what your goal is for this month, and make sure it is a reasonable goal. If you can’t reach it by the end of this month, then you need to ask yourself…how long am I prepared to work on this goal?

It’s easy in internet marketing to lose sight of our goals, and to get on a treadmill. But if your internet marketing business isn’t getting you anywhere, then you need to find out why.

Is this year going to be your best year?

Well, here it is, the end of January, and many of you responded to my posts on New Year’s Resolutions.

We discussed the importance of remembering that a New year’s resolution is just something that you resolve to do within a year.

So hopefully, you are still hanging in there with your goal.

But now, today, I want to talk about something bigger and deeper.

Deeper than meeting several goals.

And more profound then establishing a couple good habits.

Today, I would like to get your focus on to making this your best year ever.

Reader, what would it take to make this your best year ever?

The Gap Theory.

I have a theory.

I have concluded that most internet marketers have huge gaps in their marketing education.

If they are a new marketer or an affiliate marketer, they lack focus.

If they are very new at blogging, they may lack knowledge on basic blogging skills on  things like making sure that their “about” page doesn’t read “this is an about page” .

If they’ve been blogging awhile, they may not post every day. Or they may not know all of the features that allow them to network with other blogs for traffic.

If they sell their own product on their own website, they may have absolutely horrible graphics with poor lighting and low quality. Or no contact information. And maybe, unbelievable, even no way to be reached at all.

I have concluded that having gaps is the most universal problem that almost every marketer has.

If you know in  your heart that there are some gaping or midsize holes in your marketing plan,  then you owe it to yourself to nail down the basics of internet marketing.

Hi Internet Marketer.

Can we talk?

Look, aspiring milliionaire, I get you.

You really have the faith to believe that you are going to get rich.

And I believe in you.

Yes! I honestly believe that you have what it takes to get wealthy

to make your dreams happen

and even to dominate the web.

All of  your dreams are capable of coming true.

You may have traffic

You may have followers

You may have a list.

And you may have no money as in none whatsoever.

Don’t give up, Marketer. There’s one thing you can’t forget.

You need time.

Lots of time.

The others are lying to you…there is no overnight money making deal anywhere, at least not millions in your account overnight.

You want to make it, and you want to make it big.

What are you lacking?

Time.

“How Long, Lord?”

Have you ever asked your God this question? I know I have. And here’s the answer:

Making money online takes time!

And if  you think that’s a bummer, consider this…

most people spend a lot of time trying to make money the wrong way!
