How to get off the wheel of internet marketing

Reader, do you ever get the feeling that you are doing the same thing, but not seeing results? There’s  a story of a man who was in a prison camp, and he kept turning a crank that was attached to the wall. His captors told him that it was his job to grind wheat, and that if he did it long enough and hard enough, he’d eventually earn his release. After the war, his emancipation came. His rescuers took him to the other side of the cell and there he saw it….the crank had NOTHING attached to it. His whole time in captivity, all of his labor was for nothing. Nothing! The man was very disheartened to realize that all of his labor had been in vain. But had it? Do you think that having something to do helped him to cope? I do. And a lot of you are like that too. You spend hours working on dead end tasks, checking likes, and gaining followers, and it feels good. But at the end of the day, you need to ask yourself: What’s on the other side? All internet marketers need to ask themselves this question: Is what I’m doing making me any money. Will it eventually be making money And if so, when. You desperately need the answers to these question. Otherwise, you are turning a dead crank.

Writing your Business Plan

One thing that a lot of marketers do in business, is they forget to plan. Here’s what that looks like

If you spend your days piddlying, but getting nothing accomplished, then it’s time for an action plan.  My internet marketing blueprint show you step by step what you need to do,  at each step in your business, to get good success.

Here’s what you get: First, you have to pre-apply for me to even meet with/ talk with you. And that’s not because I’m some diva, but I just need to make sure that we aren’t wasting one another’s time. Not every mentor is suitable for every business/business owner, and I get that. Some people have different values then me. But most people who sign up are genuinely wanting someone to coach them and they are realistic.   That’s another thing: if you want to sell underwater basket weaving kits, I may not be super enthusiastic about your idea. I promise to be honest with you about the chances of your business working in a reasonable length of time to be profitable.

The internet marketing blueprint is not cheap, but it is more cost effective than the one on one mentoring plan. If you are looking for a game plan for your business, a blueprint to get started, then this is what you need.

Sometimes, after reviewing the pre-application, it becomes clear that an entire marketing plan is not the answer. Maybe an applicant is doing everything right as far as I can see, but they have embarrassing pop ups. Sometimes (though not often) a simple ten minute conversation is all that’s needed.

Similarly, many qualified candidates for the program are not at all sure that this would be right for them, and need more reassurance. I offer a ten minute phone review for people like this, to ask me anything. Imagine being able to ask me absolutely anything in the universe for ten full minutes! Needless to say, many people take this as an alternative to the blue print,  but it’s actually a springboard to explaining the merit of them getting a blue print…though not always. Sometimes, during this ten minute discovery phase, I realize they need to do just two simple things to get their awesome business unstuck. Forty dollars for someone to explain that their annoying pop up as is why they have a quick exit rate. Get that right, and call me if you need me.  Situations like that are why I also offer a ten minute discovery call for the unsure and undecided.

“Internet Marketing Program”

When most people Google in “internet marketing program”, they are looking for a program that will teach them how to sell their product online.

And, they are looking to be successful.

If they have no money at all, they are looking for free information.

Dear reader, I so feel for you. Let me pull back the curtain and tell you what you are in for…..every time you sign up for free info, you are getting stuck on some marketer’s email list, who will most likely send you nothing but plug after plug, plea after plea, to buy his lame, info-less product.

He has no desire what so ever to tell you the truth or to see you succeed. He only wants your moolah.

Once he gets it, he will send you some marketing information, but never enough to complete the whole marketing puzzle. You may sense some truth to what he is saying, then spend a whole wad of cash, only to discover that he didn’t tell you enough to become successful at all, only enough to make you realize that you still need more marketing info.

I think it’s time for information marketers to drop the nonsense and start telling their people the truth.

Here it is: you are going to need a whole lot more than several $50 tutorials to pull you through the process. What you need is a real education. A system that is really a system; comprehensive, with your entire future in view.

One of the ironies of marketing education is, the newer you are, the more important it is to get a premium education. Think about it: if someone was illiterate, it would take more time and training in the beginning to teach them how to read, then it would to teach them how to teach themselves how to read even better. That’s because, once they had the fundamentals of reading down, they could understand how to read the next budget priced module.

In the beginning, you may not know enough to decipher that “who else wants to make a million dollars NOw!”internet marketing program, that tells you one tactic that worked for them. And they don’t bother telling you all of the fundamentals they had in place before they implemented that single “secret” (hmmph!) strategy of theirs.
It’s time that marketers start telling the truth!

It’s not enough to learn:

• Afilliate marketing
• email marketing
• website design
• search engine optimization
• conversion techniques…in and of themselves

All of these elements need to work together. To really succeed at this, you need to learn the guts, the essence, the innards of each of these and then, more importantly, you need to be systematically shown how all of these things work together.

That’s called integrated marketing and it’s the only way to really be successful online.
