A lot of affiliate marketers and other internet marketers are trying to make money, but many of them aren’t making any money…right now.
That is something to think about…so here you are, clicking likes and posting articles, commenting on forums and signing up for new affiliate “opportunities”. And if I asked you, “What are you doing” like if I visited your house and walked in your room where your computer is, and I said, “Dude…” (or dudette), like, whatcha doing? Can you stop and play a game of tennis” , you’d say, “Naw Dude/dudette/dawg depending on your zipcode and then I’d say “why not?” and you’d brush me off and turn back to your work. If you live in LA I’d say por kay no in my exaggerated Midwest drawl to make you laugh. If that didn’t work, I’d bounce up and down on the bed or jump up and down on it with both feet, or finally bop a pillow on your head (which is what you need reaaallllly bad right now) until you screamed “LEAVE ME ALONE!!! I’M WORKING ALREADY!” and then, (while grabbing the door handle for my quick exit) I’d yell back “So what’s it paying”?
Crickets. No not the game (you can’t play a game of cricket/basketball/tennis with your buddies when you’re a slave to the computer.
Internet marketer, are you a slave to your computer? Affiliate marketer, are you a slave to the newest new thing? Yea, I know you made a couple of sales. Once. Or maybe a trickle, last week. But are you earning a living wage? Cuz if you aren’t, it’s time for a plan
As you begin to hear about all of the internet marketing tactics out there, a good question to always ask is this–
How much money will this make me, right now.
You must ask that question, because, if your internet marketing plan doesn’t earn you an income, right now, then think, marketer…how are you going to fund your plan?
For example, if you have a plan to get number one on Google thereby drawing traffic to your site, then that is not enough.
You need to have some money now, not three years from now when you get a handle on Search Engine Marketing.
If your plan is to sign 100 people up for your newsletter, then you have the wrong plan. Because. The plan is to make money. What if you spend 2 years getting enough traffic to get sign ups? What if everyone is already reading your newsletters, but no one is buying?
You need a bigger plan.
Your plan is to make money
You need a better plan…that is…you need cash now.
In my internet marketing program, I show you how to make money immediately, not 10 days from today.
Are you ready to get some cash flow going? Read all about it here
They say that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, hoping to get different results.
Now, I suppose that wouldn’t be true if you knew that your repetition was going to bring you results. For example; if you can’t lift 100 pounds, but you lift up twenty pounds every day, one day, you should easily be able to up that by ten extra pounds. Sometimes the search engines work that way…you have a sleeper website, but your visitors come by in a trickle. After five years, it hits a point where Google recognizes you, and pushes you up to the fifth page. And then maybe you get excited and try a few things that work. And you get to the third page on Google. And six months later, a couple people visit you, so Google bumps you up to second page. And it’s tough. Five years later, you get a few sign ups for your newsletter, but you are, after all, on the second page of Google–for a long tail search term. Woo hoo don’t you feel good! You tell all your friends you have ranked on Google, but now it’s been years since you started your website and no one is buying. What is this called? It’s called insanity. No, not your diligence, no, not your belief, but your plan. As in, you don’t have one. Guess what, head knocker…you could be my best student. You don’t know how to quit. Now, it’s time to bump heads with the best minds out there…my team.

Reader, do you ever get the feeling that you are doing the same thing, but not seeing results?
There’s a story of a man who was in a prison camp, and he kept turning a crank that was attached to the wall. His captors told him that it was his job to grind wheat, and that if he did it long enough and hard enough, he’d eventually earn his release.
After the war, his emmancipation came. His rescuers took him to the other side of the cell and there he saw it….the crank had NOTHING attached to it. His whole time in captivity, all of his labor was for nothing. Nothing!
The man was very disheartened to realize that all of his labor had been in vain.
But had it? Do you think that having something to do helped hime to cope? I do. And alot of you are like that too. You spend hours working on dead end tasks, checking likes, and gaining followers, and it feels good. But at the end of the day, you need to ask yourself:
What’s on the other side?
All internet marketers need to ask themselves this question: Is what I’m doing making me any money.
Will it eventually be making money
And if so, when.
You desperately need the answers to these question. Otherwise, you are turning a dead crank.
Decide exactly what course in internet marketing you are going to take.
There is SO MUCH to do that falls under the umbrella of internet marketing.
Internet Marketing does not just mean selling online.
It can also mean, making money by selling ads on your website.
It could mean, making money by referring people to a product, consultant, or to a specific service.
If you build websites for other people, and collect payments at their office, that is still considered an Internet Marketing job, because you are selling them a product that they will use online.
So then. Before you start Googling in “How to succeed in Internet Marketing“, you first need to define what exactly you want to do in the field of digital marketing (note: digital marketing is just another name for internet marketing).
Each week, I’m going to detail the pros and cons of different internet marketing paths. Stay tuned…
